Trail Overview

Bottle Hill is a good trail to learn how your vehicle feels on dirt, rock, and mud;or to check the off-road capability of your vehicle after making modifications or repairs. It is also a nice, relaxing trail to run for more experienced off-roaders. There is a cellular signal from multiple carriers throughout most of the trail, with plenty of spots to pull over and take a break. There are multiple roads and trails that split off the main trail, as well as many private property entrances. While dry, this is an easy trail that can be completed with high-clearance 2WD vehicles. When wet, there are a few hills that become muddy and difficult in 2WD.

Difficulty

While the trail can be completed in a stock truck in 2WD on a good day, AWD or 4WD with all-terrain tires is highly recommended. The terrain varies between dirt, rock, and mud.

Trail was mostly dry with a few spots with mud water and deep ruts. Easy trail with a lift and 4WD

Trail was easy but also fun. There is some side obstacles you can take which are fun as well. Mostly dry with a few mud puddles.

It was a super fun trail. I have a lifted CR-V with some AT tires and I felt my AWD kick in only once. I came in from cement hill and drive down to the campsite. Bunch of mud spots and the trail was wide enough. I saw 5 other vehicles 3 were in a group together. Will do this one again!

This trail has some of almost everything: a little dusty, a little mud, lots of ruts and rocks, some smooth, a couple not-too-steep slopes, some narrow pinstripe spots, and tons of fun, especially for those of us who may be less experienced. We started on the west end from Georgetown, headed to the west end, then turned around and went all the way to Dru Barner campground. The trail was paved from there. Will definitely run again.

The trail is overgrown in a number of spots, the road itself is easily traveled by a 2WD vehicle with decent clearance. I recommend starting on the west side of the trail and going east.

First time in this trail. Took my pup and packed some lunch just to get away from the city. Pretty easy trail with some alternate routes that are a bit more technical and tight. Overall a good trail with some beginner rigs or if you’re by yourself without a lot of recovery equipment.

Downed tree blocking trail. Pulled it out of the way enough to pass.

The trail is rutted out from rainfall runoff, resulting in deep mud pits, albeit passable. Hills are slippery due to the mud, but manageable with 4WD.

Great trial for my stock Willys. Had a blast going through the large mud puddles, not sure if my rig will ever be fully clean again:). Trail is wide enough for two. The trial dead ends so be prepared to turn around. But all in all super fun!

Mellow but fun drive, some good sized mud puddles, but nothing to worry about - lots of side trails to drive, a good entry level trail

Views were not impressive but a fun day out. Some decently deep mud holes, a short rocky section but no rock crawling. Fallen trees are common, especially on the many offshoots from the trail. Dead ends at a private driveway as many of the offshoots do. Towards the end of the trail there is a turn that takes you back to Georgetown without having to go back through the whole trail. Its just before a large yellow gate maybe a mile before the end of the trail
