Trail Overview
The trail departs from the intersection of BLM SE741 and SE740, making a circuit through the open desert foothills before rejoining SE741. The mixed surface of hard-packed sand in places, loose sand with embedded rocks and boulders in others, keeps conditions variable and attentive driving rewarded. Overgrown brush encroaches into the trail at points, narrowing the line and requiring some care through those sections. Desert scrub and scattered Joshua trees frame the route throughout, with the Eastern Sierra foothills providing a strong scenic backdrop.
