Trail Overview
This is one of the longer and easier ATV trails in the Whisky Falls trail system, at 1.4 miles long and rated Easy by the Forest Service. It’s a mostly gradual and wide path through the pine forest, with gradual sweeping curves through the trees, gaining 250 feet during a steady incline from south to north. The only minor features are a couple of flat layers of slickrock that are very easy to ride over, short segments of loose rock, plus some waterbars and shallow ruts. This is an ideal trail for riders of all skill levels. It’s very easy to follow, well-marked on both ends of the trail, and easily accessible via FS 8S009. Part of it goes through a burn area, so always be mindful of the potential for new log hazards.
Difficulty
This is an easy rating due to minimal technical features, except for a bit of embedded slab and loose rock. It is easy in either direction, with gradual grades and no major obstacles.
