Trail Overview

White Rock Mountain is an amazing place to explore in the Ozarks because it's absolutely magnificent. Sitting at an elevation of 2,309 feet, it provides some of the most breathtaking views in Arkansas. It's also one of the highest elevations in the state. The road to get there is an easy gravel road with rolling and steep hills. There are three different ways to get here however 1003 is closed in certain sections due to a landslide. This route starts at the northeast point of the main trail. Bidville Rd will have signs along the route to point you to White Rock Mountain. This trail is very scenic and captures some of the most breathtaking views in Arkansas. Mill Creek OHV can also be accessed on the start of this trail. Cell service is attainable along this route. Running water, restrooms, camping, and cabins can be found at the top of White Rock Mountain. There is a daily parking fee of $3.00.

Difficulty

There might be a few potholes and bumps along this trail but is very manageable for a two wheeled vehicle.

Easy trail, only downside is that there may be on coming traffic on a single lane dirt/gravel road on cliffs. A few times had to back up to get to an area wide enough to pass.

Single lane dirt/gravel. Rained hard the night before but drains well, no mud holes. A few sections are pretty rutted or gullied by rain but passable by any compact SUV/wagon. Spectacular views across the Ozarks.

Whomever submitted this “trail”, which is actually a USFS jurisdictional dirt road submitted it showing its legal to operate OHV’s all the way to White Rock. This is 100% incorrect and would result in $230 tickets for first offenses. The road is only legal for licensed vehicles, and this is especially enforced within the boundaries of White Rock (between the sign and visitor’s center).
