Trail Overview

This is a fun challenging trail that can be used to connect to other nearby trails. Traveling from west to east, it is mostly downhill. It starts as an easy trail with a few large mud holes that are about 2 feet deep. You will find that it will soon turn to an off-camber descent with a 3-foot ledge that will tilt you to one side. The trail descends to a creek bottom that could be a camping spot or just a place for some summer fun. Continuing through the creek bottom, you will go through a few more mud holes about 18 inches deep before connecting to another road. A full-size rig could fit on the trail if you're not concerned about pinstriping. It gets most overgrown at the beginning and end of the trail, however, winter months are pretty clear.

Difficulty

The main obstacle would be the 3-foot ledge running the trail that tilts your vehicle to one side. 4WD would be highly recommended and recovery gear could come in handy. Mud holes could exceed 2 feet deep in the rainy season.

The trail has been used as access for a control burn recently. The rock steps and technical parts of the trail are gone. Its a green rated trail now.

First time running it. The west end of trail has recently been bladed. No signs of the off-camber ledges. The creek near east end was flowing good.

Dusty access to the trail but once we got on, it settled down. A few tight spots and minor pin striping, mud holes and those two (not my favorite) ledgy sections…all make this a fun trail.

This trail has some fun rock obstacles coming in or out of the valley. Probably close to a rating of 6 due to the off camber rocky area on the shelf road. Cool camp by stream mid trail.

Trail was good going east. Pretty fun trail a little narrow with a Tune Camper on with roof ac, but made it with no problems

Trail was in decent condition. Overgrowth was not too bad. I have a Titan Swapped Xterra and fit without much concern. One area definitely needs a spotter, it is about 3/4 of the way through when entering from the east side from Fanes.
