Trail Overview

This is an out-and-back 3.5-mile trail to Spainhour Falls. The trail is very narrow with tight foliage and has very few places to cleanly pass oncoming traffic. Expect several small creek crossings and many mud holes. The mud holes have firm bottoms, so there's no need to bypass any. There's a waterfall at the end of the trail with a small campsite that can accommodate approximately 3-4 vehicles with ground tents. You'll find small fire rings at the campsite. There are also two additional waterfalls you can hike to along this trail. You will notice a rusty diamond plate metal sign pointing out the waterfalls.

Difficulty

Expect several mud holes with firm bottoms. The trail is very narrow with very few places to cleanly pass. There are several rocky (small) creek crossings along the 3.5-mile trail. Stock Jeeps and 4x4 vehicles should not have issues. Do not attempt in low ground clearance vehicles such as cars or 2WD trucks/SUVs.

Able to go 4 miles of the 5 in Stock 4x4 Tacoma with all terrain tires 265/70r16s. If it was a wet season I would not have made it that far at all. The last mile was more technical and causing issues concerning ground clearance that last mile with 33 inch tires and skid plates it could have been completed. Several creek water crossings and mud holes with solid bottoms that did not cause any issues due to it being particularly dry.

All the mudholes I went through had solid bottom. I only used the bypass on one. Creeks are all pretty much dry.
