Trail Overview

Knopper's Ford, situated along Sugar Creek is a day-use facility built by the CCC. It is accessible by passenger cars or low-clearance vehicles. Knopper's Ford is popular with Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) and Equestrian enthusiasts, as it is a very short distance from the fabulous Sugar Creek Multi-Use Recreation. KNOPPERS FORD: Natural pools in SugarCreek.Day use only, picnicking, swimming,horse-shoe pit, vault toilet, fishing, 3-1/2 mile trail connects to Jack Creek. Equestrian use from October 1-May 1. U.S. feearea.This road is mainly gravel, passes Knoppers Ford, Sugar Creek multi-use trail area and continues to become a dead end at this time. The Sugar Creek Multi-Use Trail is a network of looping trails that winds over various types of terrain and through a variety of tree types. Rides range from moderately easy to more difficult. Connecting loops offer users an opportunity to explore exciting outdoor opportunities. This complex network of trails began in 1990 when a local group of equestrian riders became interested in having trail access for horseback rides.

Started on the trail from north to south. After driving 10-15min came to a pile of dirt in the road. The few low water crossing we went over looked like there was high water recently. My guess there is a wash out past the road blockage.

Trail was very clear, only one rough spot at a creek crossing where the road was near washed out. Only downside is there is a small burm built up in the middle of the road just after you pass private property going south. Not sure who would’ve put it there, but it makes it impassable unless you got the ground clearance for it.
