Trail Overview

Driver Creek Dam starts out as an easy gravel road that winds through the forest, with steep grades and large gravel. You start at Cedar Mountain where you will find some amazing views and a huge dispersed campsite with a fire ring. This would be a perfect spot for someone traveling out of town and needing a quiet secluded place to camp. From there you take the road down to Driver Creek Dam. There you will find a huge staging area for off-road vehicles. Driver Creek Dam also is adjacent to this staging area where you can clearly see the waterfall from the spillway. There are no restrooms anywhere near the dam. There is a boat launch but for kayaks and nonmotorized boats. There is fishing at the dam and it is stocked with Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Bluegill, and Redear Sunfish. As you continue north this road turns into a 4x4-only road where low-clearance vehicles aren't recommended at all. Cell phone service is attainable in this area.
