Trail Overview

This trail (1776) is near White Rock Mountain. Many of the harder trails around White Rock are currently closed, so this is a challenging trail that takes you south and allows you to hook up with a trail that eventually ends up at Shores Lake. This road currently will only take narrow vehicles because of some downed trees and very narrow tight trails. Even a Mid-Sized truck may be questionable because of its length. It also has many low limbs that will put some marks on the clear coat.

Difficulty

This trail has large rocks that will likely require a spotter. The trails are very narrow, covered in tree limbs, with logs that you must go over as well as downed trees that you must go around via alternate routes. One of the routes is very challenging around a large downed tree, requiring multiple 3-point turns and winching. It is very slow going in a 4X4. A minimum of 33-inch tires is recommended.

Ran this trail with a group from Arkansas Broncos equipped with chainsaws & winches. Cleared several spots along the way to those three big downed trees obstructing the trail. All cleared now. Super fun trail!

We did this trail with 3 Broncos and 2 jeeps. The trail is fun, but about halfway down is 3 downed trees that are blocking the trail. The Bypass is a sloppy mess up a hill and requires winching to get to the top. We tried multiple times, and spent 1 hour 40 min winching everyone up. We are going back on the March 1st 2026 to cut those out and open up the trail.

Fun trail lots of bypasses to get around downed trees. Took a little over and hour to complete. My rating is a 5. Not for a full size. Probably doable but good chance of body damage.

Made it through in about 2 hours. Some spots were a little tight for the 4 Door Bronco and caught a little bit of pin striping from the brush. Fun and challenging little trail but would recommend having a spotter in some locations.

Gates were open on the north and south end. I did not attempt the trail, as there’s a high possibility of downed trees due to high winds earlier in the week.

I ran this from the north side heading south in a thunderstorm. This trail wouldn’t be bad at all if it was dry, but in the rain I highly recommend you have a buddy and both of you have winches. Off camber sections made of clay will send you sliding down the mountain with no control. All the trees that were down had bypasses wich was nice. Run this trail when it’s dry. It’s very sketchy in the rain.

North and south gates open. Clear trail, minimal debris. Very dry. It was my first time down it. Ran it north to south. I have a 2010 Pathfinder on 33”s and an 1.5” lift. IFS/IRS. Some off camber spots were challenging, but most of the trail is tame. I absolutely would not touch this trail if there was moisture on the ground. I wouldn’t make it through 😅

There were several downed trees with makeshift bypasses but eventually came to a section with several large trees and no way to bypass. I had to turn around about halfway when heading south. If you plan on going all the way, bring some friends, chainsaws(not battery), extra gas(for chainsaws) and plan for a full day or two.

Ridden on a rainy day and it was very slick and muddy with a lot of washouts. Plenty of narrow sections and tight turns and opportunities for some paint scratches. Some fallen trees with makeshift bypasses.

Several big trees to bypass makes for a tight turn. Had to winch t two big slick hills running SE. rated 8/10 on slick days.
