Trail Overview

Potato Knob is an easy gravel road with steep hill climbs and rolling hills. Beautiful scenic views that go on for miles. You can find an old homestead along this trail that leaves you to wonder why a house would have been in the middle of nowhere. A root cellar still stands on this homestead and is in amazing shape. It's evident that this house has been gone a while with the two tall trees that come out from the middle of the foundation. You will also find campsites with views as well, however, they are dispersed with no running water. Cell service is attainable along this route.

Light rain from the previous night kept dust to a minimum. We saw only one other driver on a quad early on, then we had the rest of the trail to ourselves.

Open, easy gravel road. Combined with White Rock east / west, and Shores Lake Rd would be a good route for Subarus and other AWD SUVs. Some really neat camping along the way...

Pretty easy trail/dirt road. Some cool dispersed camping along the way. I wouldn't see an issue with a high clearance 2wd making a trip down this road.
