Trail Overview

This power line service trail connects to the Boulder Creek Ranch area. It's primarily easy in technicality, but the southern end of the trail does have a couple of short technical rock garden sections. There are some sandy washes to cross. There is a fence along the Boulder Creek Ranch property line where a neat little old silo/water structure and windmill stand. There are beautiful views of the desert all along the way.

Rating 4-5/10 for a full size truck. Some rock gardens and average speed between 5-10mph. Made the mistake of thinking I could go north on Zip Zap and cut over to the parallel green trail but ran into trail 9949 which is ATV/Dirt bike only. Had to back track. Recommend stopping at the Boulder Creek Ranch sign and cutting due east from there.

Pretty solid trail, perfect for introducing my wife to off-roading and breaking in her new bronco. We did have to turn around, right behind the bronco, because it got very rocky and didn’t want to slam my daughter around in her car seat. There are some high spots so if your vehicle isn’t lifted be cautious of the undercarriage

Nice trail with a little bit of technical stuff, but not difficult at all.

Picture is of the only moderate spot on the trail. The rest was fairly easy. Saw some wild donkeys.
