Where Did The Trail Go is a short desert connector trail ideal for four-wheel-drive vehicles and SxSs looking for a brief but challenging route featuring deep washouts and sandy wash crossings. Spanning just over one mile near Three Rivers Road, this trail offers a technical rating of 4 due to its evolving terrain and deep washouts that can prove hazardous for larger vehicles. The eastern end is relatively well-established, but drivers must quickly adapt to significant erosion, navigating around deep cuts in the earth where the trail has naturally bypassed the original route. Descending gently with an elevation loss of about 58 feet from its maximum height of 1,434 feet, the trail eventually lives up to its name on the western end near P1355. Here, the tracks completely disappear into an overgrown wash, requiring drivers to carefully scout for faint two-track lines connecting to the south side to continue their journey. With only about two bars of LTE cell service available, this remote desert route demands self-reliance and solid route-finding skills.
