Trail Overview
Date Creek Road is in an interesting valley area. This low area, when viewed from afar, looks similar to the Badlands. Parts of this trail go in and out of washes, not just cross through them, with some steep entrances and exits. It's a narrow trail, pocked with water damage and erosion that guarantees paint damage at certain points. This trail intersects many other trails, so don't be surprised to see offshoots along the way. There are no major obstacles along this trail, but there is limited service as well, so offline maps are recommended. Keep in mind that this trail resides in a low area surrounded by cliffs, so it must be treated as a flash flood area. As such, please check local and surrounding weather as flash floods are hazardous and potentially lethal.
Difficulty
This is an unmaintained trail with washes, water damage, erosion, and rock areas. It is in a potential flash flood zone and is narrow. Caution is urged.
