Trail Overview

South Walker Road starts off of Senator Highway and traverses through ponderosas and scattered aspens. This trail is a maintained dirt road and offers a pretty drive through the Prescott National Forest. There are several small water crossings over the Hassayampa River. These river crossings could be deep after recent precipitation so make sure you check the weather before you start. This trail also has a combination of National Forest land and private properties along the way. Please be respectful to the residents and slow down.

Some sections of the trail were muddy, but overall dry and dusty. There was some snow and ice and left on some sections of the road. Beautiful sunny day.

Road is in fine condition. Some wet spots, some potholes and washboard but nothing a passenger car can’t handle.
