Trail Overview

This is a fun add-on adventure if you are in the Beaver Dam area. It leads to a very large sinkhole with a surprise in the bottom. The trail is mostly narrow single track with some small washes. There are also beautiful views of the general area due to the trail's elevation. It is fun to imagine you are an 1860s pioneer in a covered wagon trying to traverse this area. Be prepared for issues arising during the summer when temperatures often reach 115 degrees.

Difficulty

This is a relatively easy trail for a SxS or full-size off-road vehicle. The trail is somewhat narrow, so wider vehicles will get some scratches from the nearby sagebrush. The washes are generally shallow but they can have steep edges and do require some judgement to traverse the area successfully.

This trail is an easy trail with washboard and some loose rocks. I did this trail in 2 wheel drive. From Cedar Pocket Rd take 1884 D to the sinkhole. There are several trails marked A, B C and D and some maps will take you past the sinkhole. Take the D trail.
