Trail Overview
Trail Sa1061 begins off Sa1059 and runs as an out-and-back dirt route across open desert. There are a few campsites on the west side of the trail, marked with camp rings. The route includes minor washouts that are easy to navigate, with nothing technical. The trail runs alongside a landfill that borders BLM land. Wind has carried trash across parts of the surrounding desert, and there is noticeable debris in the area. This could be a worthwhile cleanup project for anyone interested in the opportunity. After passing the landfill, the trail narrows for approximately 1/4 mile with overgrown vegetation, standing water, and muddy tracks. Expect possible pinstripes and soft ground in this section. The trail offers views of Mount Graham to the south before coming to a dead end at private property with no outlet. High clearance 2WD acceptable in dry conditions. 4WD recommended if mud or standing water is present. Use caution in wet conditions. Respect private property boundaries at the end of the trail.
