Rocky Road

The Rocky Road trail is in fact a rocky road! This is a 62-inch trail in the Munds Park OHV system in Flagstaff, Arizona, that prohibits full-width vehicles. The trail is 5 miles long, with only a few hundred feet of elevation gain when riding south to north, so it's mostly flat. There are embedded boulders and loose rocks all throughout the trail, which makes it harder for the inexperienced dirt biker, ATV rider, or stock UTVer, but it would be quite easy for a sport UTV that has the suspension and tire size to cruise over all the rocks. There aren't any big hill climbs or notable obstacles; it's just a really rocky surface for almost the entire 5 miles. The trail crosses Forest Service Road 700 and continues on the other side of the road. The northern half is a bit easier and wider with fewer rocks, and there are a few sections that smooth out to give you relief from all the rocks. The trail is marked with trail signs at all intersections and is easy to follow. You can make a fun day loop with Leap Frog, Munds Canyon Trail, and Little Horse, all of which are 62-inch trails.
