Trail Overview

Frog Tank Loop is a 3.4-mile 62-inch trail in the Munds Park OHV system that prohibits full-width vehicles. It makes a loop, intersecting with both Iron Springs Connector and Leap Frog Trail. The west and northern half of the loop has some bigger boulders and small ledges in the trail. The southern half is easier and smoother, with fewer rocks, and is more fast and flowy. The southernmost part of the loop goes very closely past several homes in the Munds Park neighborhood, so please ride respectfully. This is a fun 62-inch trail that is relatively easy for any UTV, ATV, or dirt bike. There aren't any significant obstacles;it just has bigger rocks embedded in the trail at times. It goes through a nice forest floor between the pine trees with hardly any elevation gain.

This trail has some sections that would be quite a challenge for a new rider (dirt bike). Also, the access from the Janice Place trail head is not easy, I'd rate it as moderate. Overall it was fun and worth the effort.

It seems that logging crews half torn up the trail with bulldozers about halfway through. Fortunately, if it wasn't for "ON X", I would have had some difficulty seeing the trail.
