Trail Overview

Dense vegetation, rocky shelves, and small mud pits await on this tight, nearly abandoned offshoot of FR300. This area borders an animal sanctuary area of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Tons of down branches, trees, and overgrown vegetation obscure the trail. There are a few small secluded campsites early on in the route.

Pretty much as described previously. Overgrown trees narrowing the path. You can go around a fallen tree to start the loop part, but we got turned around at the half way through due to the overgrown plants.

Short little in and out trail without any crowds. Tight trail so larger rigs will have a lot of branch contact. We were there during a rain event so it was a bit muddy (obviously) but it looks like this trail will hold water for quite a while after the rest of the forest dries up. All water crossings had firm bottoms. The optional loop is very hard to follow and we had to turn around after attempting both legs from the main road. At the end of the route shown here it looks like the trail continues as a powerline access road, however, down the hill about a hundred feet it's gated off. Turning around at the gate is a bit tricky so just stay on top of the hill and turn back from there.
