Trail Overview

This trail runs between Arizona Highway 60 to the north and Box Canyon to the south. There is a parking area at the north end of the trail with room for several tow vehicles and trailers. The trail is full of ups and downs with wandering desert scenery. When doing this trail from the south, the Box Canyon waterfall was once considered the gatekeeper, although there is a bypass up and over the hill to the east. This has optional lines from a 4 to 8 rating. There is only one other obstacle to the trail, which would also be a 4, with the rest of the trail mainly being a 2-3 difficulty.

Everything up to the waterfall from the south was fine, but the waterfall looked badly rutted. The bypass to the east was also badly rutted. I turned around.

The Trail is washed out and much harder than the 4 rating. I wouldn’t take anything with less than 35”s and at least a rear locker.

I only took this trail from the North end to the junction, but it was pretty mild for the most part. There were definitely a few technical parts toward the junction so I'd be careful with a stock truck. The desert and mountain views were quite nice.

Drove this today in a stock Ford F150 tremor, it definitely had me bottoming out and worried about some possible damage. Would be alright in a side by side or well lifted jeep

Trail was fun However will push the limits of a stick f150. Used the heck out of the skid plates even with the best lines. Jeeps seemed to have little issue but still struggled in some areas based on the line.
