Trail Overview

This trail starts at the four-way intersection of Lime Kiln Canyon, CR 101 and BLM 1041. Head north from this intersection on BLM 1041. This part of the route is a dirt road that winds its way through the Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument. You are surrounded by amazing beauty in every direction you look. When you turn onto BLM 1041B, the trail will be a single lane and pass through a cattle gate. Please leave all cattle gates the way you find them. This trail will drop into a few small washes as it winds its way to the lookout. The view from the top is spectacular. You can see Mesquite, Scenic, and Beaver Dam, as well as look back at the trail you came up. As you walk along the ridge, you will gain more elevation and be above 5000 feet.
