Trail Overview
The trail winds through high grasslands, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the African savanna. Throughout the route, deep ruts and washouts mark the landscape, remnants of past flooding that have carved noticeable cuts into the road. Drivers should be prepared for some light pinstriping due to overgrown vegetation, along with multiple offshoots and spurs branching off the main path. In certain sections, the terrain becomes rocky, with more pronounced ruts when ascending uphill, though these can generally be avoided by carefully maneuvering along one side of the track. As the road progresses, it leads directly to the park's information office, where it transitions into a well-maintained surface. At the far end of the road, the park rangers' residences can be found. For those looking to extend their stay, camping facilities are available near the information center, offering a convenient base for further exploration.
