Great medium difficulty trail. No real obstacles to speak of. Most of the trail is a Wash. We went South to North.

Some solid hill climbs that I opted for 4-Low in, but otherwise a nice medium trot through the desert! I didn’t air down but it would’ve been faster and more comfortable if I had. The wash portions were pretty mellow. One primitive gate to open and close behind you. Great sights and excellent greenery on account of all the recent rain! Took us about 2 hours from the start of gravel to the end at castle hot springs resort.

There is a barrier you’ll have to take down and put back up. The trail on OnX also ends before you get back to the road but it’s ok just follow it all the way through to Castle Road. There are definitely some pretty technical spots and if you’re in a truck, be aware of the possibility of desert pinstriping. Was a great medium difficulty trail and the recent rain helped keep the dust down.

My truck is a stock ‘25 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2and for the first half to 2/3rds, I did not even need to put it into 4 wheel. There were some high rutted tracks where a vehicle without the clearance may bottom out but feel like they’d be manageable if approached properly. Most of those rutted paths had alternate paths around. The roads up to the part I mentioned above were wide enough to pass if encountering oncoming vehicles but we did not see a single soul out there today. After the 2/3rds or so mark the road got narrow with very few spots to pass if needed and in fact the roads were often barely “full sized”. I did have to use 4 wheel drive in this part as some of the inclines were steep enough to where you end up coming over the top blind. Additionally there were many rocks, off camber & steep ledges to navigate. We hit the trail at 10 am and got to the top of the marked trail about noon and back by 1:30, so 3.5 hours total.

Did this in a full size F-350. The switch backs were definitely tight with this full size rig but very doable. A couple shelf roads at the rail end of it.

Nice Sunday Ride, only a few other vehicles out and about. One of the ranchers gates was closed towards the end of the Morgan City Wash, but access is still there. Opened and closed it and continued down the trail. Not a difficult trail at all. New to OnX so still trying to figure out the ratings, closer to a 2-3 than a 5 that is listed. From the start of the ride/wash to making it out and back down to the starting point off of Castle Hot Springs, it took 2:45. Great way to spend the late morning.

This trail has a little of everything as stated above. The views are spectacular. If this is your first time on this trail, pay attention b’c there are a ton of offshoots that can lead you off the trail into some pretty tight spots. If you have a vehicle like mine, not modified other than factory, pick your lanes and you’ll be fine. You’re likely to get some Arizona pin striping on this trail as well

Great trail, a little bit of everything. Started on Castle Hot Springs dirt road, then led to a slow going trail. Nothing crazy at all, a few hill climbs in 4H, but a great time. As mentioned below, there is a gate but I believe it is to keep the cattle separated. Went through the gate into the wash and sped on through. Trail gives you a bit of everything from some hill climbs, rocks, and wash until you head out right before lake pleasant

Blockage in previous reports is a wire livestock fence with wire gate towards the river-right (south) side of the wash. There were no locks or posted signs indicating passage was prohibited.

Took the trail from lake pleasant area. Super easy but it’s closed halfway by a gate on the state trust boundary
