Trail Overview

This is a serious rock garden and rock climb. Though not super steep, it's very technical due to the quantity and size of the rocks. Rock sliders and skid plates are strongly advised. You have to go significantly off-camber to get around the side of several large boulders, and it's not uncommon for machines to get teeter-tottered by it on two wheels more than once.

Difficulty

There's a rock garden that stretches quite a ways and requires going significantly off-camber in numerous places. There's a strong likelihood of rocker damage, undercarriage damage, body damage, differential impacts, etc. You'll need 30-inch tires or bigger or you will probably need to be towed out. In several spots, you end up teeter-tottering on 2 wheels doing a Jeep wave. The trail is also narrow; larger 4x4 vehicles likely will have difficulty fitting through the choke points. Even lifted UTVs struggle with this one.

After the recent massive storms areas of the trail have washed out significantly, in one spot the ground level has changed by over 5 feet, and created a seriously washed out crevasse that is extremely off camber, so much so that two SxS had to have people hanging on their right sides to keep from flipping over, all 3 rigs bottomed out on newly exposed jagged rocks, even with long travel upgraded suspension, if you have been on this trail previously, take note it has deteriorated badly, several rocks too large to move with a UTV winch need to be moved to make it slightly safer but we were unable to with the gear we had on hand, DO NOT attempt this trail alone, take someone with you, both to spot, and to get you out if you have a mishap.

Needed a spotter to navigate the rocks with my stock ‘91 4runner, had a few puckerable moments teetering on ledges, but made it with out scraping anything, done on 31” micky thompson baja legends aired down to 20 psi, rear diff has 9” of clearance

This was a fun trail. Medium to high clearance will have no issues as long as you watch the inside of turns. I don’t have rock sliders and didn’t have any issues avoiding big rocks to the rocker panels. (Driving 3rd gen 4runner on 32”s)
