Trail Overview
This graded gravel and sand road is two vehicles wide, providing plenty of room for navigation and passing. The route leads to Hart Mine and offers views of the Trigo Mountains along the way. Be on the lookout for wild burros that roam the area. There are various dispersed campsite areas along the road where you can set up and enjoy the surroundings. Watch your speed as there are a couple of ruts that run across the road due to water erosion, which can catch you off guard if you're moving too fast. At the end, you can hike around and explore the mine area, adding historical interest to the journey.
