Trail Overview

This is a short route that goes from Blake Ranch Road out to the Century Mine that is fun to explore. It’s mostly flat with a very gradual increase in grade from east to west. The trail surface is pretty bony from lots of loose rock in the trail of various sizes, but mostly medium round rocks. The route is mostly dirt, but expect some washouts, erosion, and rain ruts. There are deep ruts frequently on one side of the trail. It is easy to follow through the pinyon trees. There are a couple of bigger boulders in the trail as well, but on a gradual grade, they are easy to ride over. There’s a nice spot to turn around at the end for ATVs or dirt bikes, and you can go through more of a rocky wash to go out to the mine, or explore on foot. The trail is almost a mile long, but you’ll have to ride it as an out-and-back as it doesn’t connect to anything else. Although marked at the beginning with a route number, the sign does not indicate width designations.
