Trail Overview
The Government Hill is a one-lane rocky trail, speckled with erosion and rock gardens. There are no major obstacles in this trail, but there is also no cell service, so offline maps are recommended. The trail has sporadic and scattered primitive campsites with rock fire rings. If camping, please be sure to check the local forest service website for fire restriction information as this area is hot, dry, a prone to fast-moving and large wildfires. This trail does have erosion and water damage, as well as a few wash crossings that might be challenging if visited during monsoon season or after a rain or snow event. Deer, Elk, and Antelope might be visible along this trail, as the area is popular with hunters.
