Trail Overview

This 5.7 point-to-point trail traverses through the Artillery Mountains and passes the Gold Bug Mine. The northern half of the trail is easy to travel. When the trail leaves the wash and heads up the Artillery Mountains the trail becomes more difficult with narrow cliff-side sections and off-camber travel. While passing through the mountains there are many narrow sections where you will get some good Arizona pin-stripping.

Unfortunately did not take photos because my passanger was holding on for dear life. If this is a 4 rating I'd hate to see a 10. The trail could be worse due to recent steady rains earlier in the month. I made it to the mine but was in 4 wheel low front differential locked. Bottomed out a few times going over rocks. Good luck with this one.

forgot to take photos but made it about half way through the trail and the climb up the mountain was more of a 6rating. I'm comfortable taking my wife's truck on most trails rated up to a five but this was a little much due to heavy crawling and erosion would've have ran in in my other vehicle but it was rated a 4 so I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. unfortunately we ended up turning around due to the difficuly, in correct vehicle, and being a solo rig in this adventure.
