FS 943

Trail Overview

Forest Service Road 943 is just over 2 miles long and starts at a junction with Forest Road 229. At the start of this trail, there will be a fence gate you must open and close. From there, the trail is an easy-going dirt road with some small rocky portions. As you travel farther down this trail, there will be another fence gate you must open and close. After the second fence gate, the trail's surface becomes more rocky with a light uphill ascend. The end of this trail is a turnaround that overlooks a steep and narrow canyon that is below you.
