Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 9243R is a short trail, measuring just under a mile in length. It begins as an easy, winding route through a stand of ponderosa pines. As you continue, the surface becomes intermittently rocky, with small rock gardens and loose stones scattered along the trail. These sections add mild difficulty but are generally manageable. Toward the end, the trail smooths out again and returns to an easy, laid-back drive. The route ultimately fades out at an old rock fire pit, marking the endpoint. There are several dispersed camping spots along the trail, making it a good option for a quiet overnight stay.
