Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 6365 is just shy of 2 miles long and was mapped from south to north. This route begins as an easy-going trail with scattered loose rocks and shallow ruts. The surface remains fairly consistent as the trail passes Idas Tank. North of the tank, travelers will encounter several fallen trees that require maneuvering around obstacles in the trail.
As the route bends sharply to the southeast, the terrain becomes rockier with several small rocky sections to traverse. The trail then descends toward a dry wash through a narrow corridor with limited room to maneuver. The final stretch ends at a large downed tree blocking the trail with no available bypass. Full-sized 4x4 vehicles will not be able to turn around at the end and will need to reverse back up the narrow hill to safely exit the route.
Difficulty
Expect an uneven dirt trail with loose rocks, shallow ruts, tight trees, and narrow sections. Trail obstacles are up to 12 inches.
