Trail Overview

This route is a continuation of FS 46 Wild Horse Haven. The difficulty of the trail changes drastically due to the slick, clay soil and deep washouts. The clay can become extremely slick with very little moisture and be prepared for sliding due to vehicle momentum.

Trail conditions the day after moderate snow were fine. There are signs warning of flooding, etc., but nothing of that kind was experienced. Cell phone service was fine, and lots of Wild Horses and Turkeys frequent this area. There are a couple small sections that require the driver to pay attention, otherwise will get caught in ruts and possibly have to utilize 4x4 in order to clear.
