Trail Overview
This short trail takes you to the old mine dump/tailings of the French Lily Mine. Most of this trail is pretty easy-going until you start descending to Crazy Basin Creek. The trail becomes extremely rocky and a very uneven road on a moderate decline. After this hill, the last 100 yards are back to being easy-going, and you end on the old tailings pile from the mine. Paint damage may be possilbe due to overgrown vegetation. There is a nice camp spot on the side of this trail towards the beginning.
History
The French Lily Mine was in operation from 1936 to 1938. The primary ore was copper, lead, zinc, and gold. The tailings pile for these minerals is still present.
