Trail Overview
FR2599 is a one-lane track with little room to pass due to the dense forest surrounding it. It leads to a quiet destination, with two relatively flat campsites at the end with primitive fire rings. If you're planning on camping in the area, please look up the fire restrictions for this area of the National Forest, as Arizona is at times hot, dry, and perfect fire weather. Since there is not a view at the end, this area is likely popular with hunters, as the camps appear to be hunters' camps. There are no obstacles on this trail, though it would be handy to have a chainsaw or large handsaw as this area of the forest sees many storms capable of knocking down trees that could block the trail. There are 2 bars of Verizon on this trail, though it can be spotty in this area, so offline maps are recommended.
Difficulty
This is an unmaintained road, one lane wide, and surrounded by dense forest. Mud ruts, downed trees blocking the trail, and trees hanging overhead (widow makers) are possible. Caution is urged.
