Well traveled! Several small cars and minivans using this to get to the riverside camping areas. Incredibly smooth and very well maintained.

Met a Forest Service truck on the way down. They waved and didn't stop me, so I continued on. The road is open all the way down until the Gate at the 502/708 intersection, which the 708 closes at 3pm. I was able to go down the lower section for about 10 minutes, then turned around. I didn't have time to go the full 502 route today. There's been additions of new rocks on the dirt roads in the Verde Valley on a lot of the main dirt roads (Sedona, Camp Verde, Cornville). Though nice, it can make for a slippery cornering on some of the sharp turns on this one so be prepared. Still an easy ride. The views are always abundant here. Many drop off cliffs and rock formations to see. Sadly, my camera battery only captured my entering the road. Battery issue. I went on the 708 for a mile and found signage at the 9D saying the entire trail is closed to all motor vehicles. It didn't say seasonal either. Again...I would have taken a picture but...

Road 708 was open all the way to lot 1. Washboard for a good portion of it. A couple rocky spots where a couple washouts occurred in the last 2.5 miles, but very passable. Someone in a Honda Civic made it to lot 1. The walking trail to the waterfall was fine. Obvious that there were a couple recent washouts, but they have been repaired and manageable.
