Trail Overview

This 6.6 mile point to point trail takes you along power lines up and through the Black Mountain Range. A portion of the trail crosses open desert as you approach the Black Mountains. Once you climb up and pass over, you have expansive views of the Lake Mohave valley. The trail then follows along mountain spurs and crosses washes. There are sections with erosion damage up to 12" in depth. This trail is passable by most 4WD vehicles.

Clearly defined trail, a few spots with over grown shrubbery, one wash out that created a tire hanging event for a few jeeps that did not track over rock fill. After a climb at 21 % there is a sharp right turn. Don’t cut it to tight or you will drop your rear tire off the rock ledge to the trail. Recommend using a spotter. Good trail with one off camber spot.

Lots of washouts and exposed rock. For a green trail it was rougher than the pope mine trail which is blue
