Trail Overview
This trail sits up on a ridge line with hard pack gravel and sand surface providing solid traction. From the elevated position, you'll enjoy great views of the Trigo Mountains and other surrounding areas spreading out in all directions. The area is very barren, with just a lot of rocks ranging in size from pebbles to baseballs and very little vegetation breaking up the rocky landscape. The trail can be hard to follow through this uniform terrain, though there's actually a faint single track line following the entire trail that helps with navigation. The sparse vegetation and rocky terrain give this route a stark, remote character compared to more vegetated trails in the area.
Difficulty
This is an easy trail from a technical standpoint with good hard-pack surface conditions. The main challenge is navigation as the trail can be hard to follow through the barren, rocky terrain. Pay attention to the faint single track line and existing tire tracks. The rocks, ranging from pebble to baseball size, create a bumpy ride but aren't technical obstacles.
