Trail Overview
This trail starts on EC1146 with a surface of hard pack dirt and sand with some rocks in the beginning before turning to mostly soft sand. The route offers great views of the surrounding mountains, including views of the Trigo Mountains throughout. The trail is lined with creosote bushes as it crosses the terrain. As you progress, the trail climbs up the hills, providing even better views of the surrounding area and mountains from elevated vantage points. Seasonal wildflowers are abundant at times, adding vibrant color to the desert landscape. You'll encounter off-camber sections, and some of the hills are slightly on a ridgeline, creating a little exposure. The end of the trail will reward those who make it that far with spectacular scenery.

Difficulty
The transition from hard pack to mostly soft sand requires four wheel drive and airing down is highly recommended for maintaining traction. The hill climbs with off-camber sections demand careful navigation and throttle control. The ridgeline sections require respect for the exposure. The soft sand combined with hill climbs makes this more technical than typical flat desert routes.
