Trail Overview
This can be run as a one-way or out-and-back trail. It features packed sand with embedded gravel and small rocks, winding up and down a series of hills that create a rolling terrain. You'll enjoy nice views of the Trigo Mountains on the west side as you navigate the route. The trail goes in and out of washes that cross the trail, adding variety to the terrain. You'll encounter some sections of ruts under 12 inches scattered throughout, and the trail drops in and out of some small washes that require attention. There are lots of opportunities for dispersed camping in the area, making this a popular spot to set up and enjoy the scenery. The trail ends in Cibola, Arizona, providing access to civilization.

Difficulty
The winding hills with washes crossing and small wash drop-offs create moderate technical challenges. The ruts under 12 inches are manageable but require attention. Four wheel drive and high clearance are recommended for navigating the wash crossings and undulating terrain. The packed sand with embedded materials provides decent traction, but momentum management is important through the wash sections.
