Trail Overview

This point-to-point trail takes you from Red Rock Loop Road to Highway 89A. If you veer south halfway down the trail, you'll reach the trailhead for the Oak Creek Trail. This is a short 0.5-mile hike down to Oak Creek and the ruins of an old stone cabin homestead. There is one short section that gives this trail its rating and name: it is a narrow, rocky shelf road that can be intimidating to some drivers. Watch for hikers and horseback riders along the trail.

One group of 4 vehicles coming the other way was all we saw. No mud but the rain we had a couple of days ago kept the dust down. Nice trail but doesn't have the spectacular views that you get on some of the other trails around here

Only needed 4high one time, good trail with jagged rocks and ruts. Stock 4x4 no problem.
