Trail Overview

Cedar Train Trail is a rocky, unmaintained trail in the foothills of the Prescott National Forest. This trail is slow going, mostly because of the large rock gardens and tight trees that it runs through. No major obstacles will surprise you on this trail, but there are steep entrances and exits to washes, as erosion and water carve this harsh landscape. Steep off camber hill climbs and descents make this a pretty technical adventure, with sneaky rocks, holes, and the odd placed gate being among the trickier features on this trail. As you make your way south, you'll be treated with views of the valley. Once you come off the hill, you'll be inundated (if you're lucky) to a gentle roll through a field filled with wildflowers. If you do exit the vehicle, be aware that Javelina are present in this area, and are known to be aggressive.
