Trail Overview

This sandy rip starts by Highway 93 with tons of dispersed camping spots amongst the awesome rock formations. There are power lines and funky old buildings with Graffiti on private property. The map names this location as "Nowhere" It seems the state or county even set out some trash cans which is nice to help keep the area clean. Once on the trail, it's sandy and the rock formations keep coming. Balanced on top of each other seemingly defying gravity. Once at the intersection one could head toward the 6 Mile Crossing or explore the other way and see what's that direction. LTE is good and 2 bars near the highway. Fades out the further one travels.

Difficulty

This section of the trail is easy and graded, with some sandy sections and rocky sections but nothing too large.

This road is pretty lame, honestly. Graded, easy, and it actually turns AWAY from all the cool rock formations, opposite of the description. I e been passing this for years and was pretty disappointed.

We're camping at Burro Creek CG and was out and about and this one showed up and it was a three. Right now it would be a one, BLM maintenance has been scraping the road. After the second cattle gate the dirt/sand gets a little deeper but nothing not passable even in a 2wd sedan. The scenery back in here is awesome. This trail continues onto and connects to the power line loop trail and you get get right back on AZ-93. A jeep pulling a teardrop passed us about half mile in then SxS passed on the way out about 4.5 in. This is a lovely drive, will do it again and take the connector loop
