Trail Overview
The Burnt Wash trail seems to be a seldom-used trail that traverses part of the Prescott National Forest. Narrow and lined with bushes, trees, and undergrowth, this trail guarantees paint damage to whatever vehicle you choose to explore with. Along your way, you'll cross the Burnt Wash several times, with some of the entrances and exits being steep and off-camber. Sections of the trail run in the wash, over creekbed and rock gardens. Caution is urged if you're running this trail during the rainy season or after a moisture event, because these water channels may flash flood. Along parts of the trail that are not in the wash, you'll find rocks, cacti, and erosion, so it's slow-going for a smooth journey. There is no service in this area of the Prescott National Forest, so offline maps are a must.
