Trail Overview

Smooth Operation is a wide powerline trail that leads to some of the most beautiful views in the lower Prescott National Forest. This trail has been recently graded because it is smooth and fast. With only one point of caution, a blind downhill where the trail jogs left toward a tower, there are no obstacles along this trail. At the hilltops, there are beautiful vistas where you can see for miles. There is no service along this trail, so offline maps are recommended. The trail terminates at a locked gate that is well marked and has plenty of room to turn around.
