Trail Overview

Buckhorn Wash Trail connects Castle Creek Road (Wash) to Bradshaw Mountain Trail, then to Constellation Road (Wickenburg, AZ) Which then offers two choices. Going north leads to the North end of the Box Canyon Hassayampa Wash, while South West leads directly to downtown Wickenburg, AZ. This is a great road to access numerous trails, abandon mines, etc. There are many offshoots with very technical applications. Certainly something for everyone and most AWD/4WD vehicles.

Trail is follows the bottom of a wash for the first few miles from castle hot springs road. Nothing too hard, but can be sandy. So you will need to watch the ruts. Could very difficult after heavy rains due to extra sand and washouts. Do not advice to take during flash flood conditions. It does it appear it gets maintenace from time to time

Nothing really to worry about here since it’s just a road, but that washboard is going to remind you of every rattle in your vehicle. A few steps that mostly anything can get over, but an uneventful road overall.
