Trail Overview

Trail 9231D serves as a point-to-point connector between San Domingo Wash and Old Stage Road. Due to its limited traffic, it offers an ideal spur trail for those seeking a quiet place to stop and relax. Both access points feature steep, loose rocky ascents leading to a relatively straightforward route. The entrance from San Domingo Wash includes a narrow cattle guard that should be approached with caution. The trail is clearly marked throughout. While primarily composed of loose dirt, there are sections with larger rocks that require attention. In certain areas, cacti growth encroaches onto the trail, so it is advisable to select a clear spot when parking. This winding path provides remarkable views of mountains and desert vegetation. Please observe and respect active mine claims along the trail. A State Trust Land Pass is recommended for use.
