Trail Overview
This is a short trail, 0.8 miles long, on the edge of the Table Top Wilderness and BLM land, easily accessible from the Sonoran Desert National Monument Staging Area. It's mostly an easy desert trail on a mix of hard-packed dirt and sand, meandering through the creosote bushes with minimal elevation change. The trail is wide at times, like a road, but also narrow between the bushes sometimes. It goes through a very flat desert landscape, with not much to see except some very distant peaks. The trail surface is very smooth and easy, with no obstacles, and only gravel and a few loose singular rocks here and there. Watch out for small dips and ruts as it crosses small ravines and washes, and be aware of changing conditions. The trail is very fast and straight, riding past a few big saguaro cacti. The west end connects with Route 8042 at a marked intersection.
