Trail Overview

This trail starts wide an bush-lined and gives tons of amazing views along its way. But use caution, as the further North you go, the gnarlier it gets. Steep, long, loose-rock climbs and wash crossings with large rocks and debris in them are only a few of the obstacles you'll encounter along this trail. Heavy erosion has left deep cuts across the road, and large rocks in their wake. Paint damage is guaranteed as the bushes and trees close in on you leaving no clean place to turn around along this trail, other than the odd cutout. There is a set of ruins, presumably from an old mining camp, near its terminus, and this is the best place to turn around and head back out, after a little exploring. After the ruins, there is a shelf-road-type section that will leave you dodging rocks and leaning uncomfortably away from the hillside. The trail culminates at private property after an erosion-straddling expedition riddled with large rocks and debris.

Please note this trail dead ends into private property with a fence and overgrown drush. You have to turnaround and go all the way back. If you go much past the old mining infrastructure you will start to go through overhanging brush which will scratch your vehicle. Although it is tight, there is room at the end to turnaround at the private property fence. Overall the trail is fairly easy with only a few technical obstacles.

Great trail, lots of off Amber trail riding, old abandoned building with industrial equipment. Does not have access to wash or cherry Creek Road at end. Leads into private property and must turn around in tight area.
