Old Hermit - 50051 starts at the end of Pats Creek 6259 where the road veers to the right. Old Hermit 50051 is a one-lane gravel road with switchbacks passing treed areas, muskeg meadows, and over many streams. There are potholes and drop-offs from the road and steep inclines before arriving to the end. Watch for fallen rocks in the road, downed trees, and deer in the road. Use Bear safety when out of the vehicle. There are many pull-off areas to allow others to pass by. This is a rain forest, be prepared for wet and stormy weather for all seasons and watch for changes in road and hillside conditions. Watch for local cutting firewood and picking blueberries on this road. Also, remember to share the road and watch for ATVs and Motorcycles.
