Trail Overview
Departing Walker Way across hard pack sand surrounded by abundant little rocks with minimal vegetation, this route drops into a wash where it meanders around through desert bushes and trees before emerging at Pole Line Road. The vegetated wash corridor contrasts sharply with the rocky terrain above. Nice views unfold of Pasadena Mountain, the Chocolate Mountains, and distant Mexican mountains on the horizon, creating layered scenery. The trail runs fairly smooth overall, but scattered large rocks have migrated onto the trail, requiring attention and line selection to avoid.
Difficulty
The fairly smooth surface makes most of this straightforward, but those scattered large rocks that have made their way onto the trail demand attention to avoid tire damage or undercarriage strikes. The drop into the wash and climb back out create minor elevation changes without serious difficulty. Hard-packed sand provides good traction. The meander through bushes and trees in the wash may create tight spots. Any vehicle with decent clearance and awareness of those scattered rocks navigates this easily.
